New York

Hello my berries,

As I have failed as a dedicated blogger to upload in a while, I thought I would give you a reason: I was in New York! Having made many beauty purchases in the likes of department stores, Sephora and others as well as the airport in duty free I thought I would share them and give you my first thoughts on them upon using them for the first time. To start I'm just going to express my anger that in the US Mac, Clinique and many other brands are so much cheaper than in the UK, so all Mac lovers wait until you go the US to make purchases. I just thought I would share a couple of my favourite purchases that I bought with you so here it goes!
Top- Bountiful Beige chubby stick eye pencil by Clinique
Orchid Pink lipstick by Clarins
Plum Crystal Balm by Clarins
I bought a Clinique chubby stick for eyes in Bountiful Beige which is Shade 1, as I have heard lots of love for them and thought I would given them a go. They are perfect if you are in a rush because you just swipe them over your lid and your good to go, I really like the colour as it is a very subtle gold shade and it really opens up your eyes.
I also bought 2 Clarins lipsticks that I already know I have fallen head over heels for and one of them is the Clarins Pro Long-wear lipstick in Orchid Pink, it is so creamy and it smells and tastes delicious, it lasts for a long time (hence the name) and I just love the pop of colour this shade brings. The other lipstick I got is one of the Crystal Balms in the shade Plum. I have to say this is the most bizarre lipstick I have ever seen and when I opened it I thought I had picked up the wrong thing, as shown in the picture below it has a transparent green around the colour in the middle, which I have grown to love as it hydrates your lips while adding colour. The only downside is that it is quite hard to apply as the small section of colour means that you have to really fiddle to get the product over your lips as otherwise it can appear blotchy.
My other favourite purchase was the Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NW20 as it has such a creamy texture which makes it easy to apply and it literally covers anything which I love!

New York is an amazing place for anyone to visit and I had a wonderful time with my family! I highly recommend popping it on your "things to do before you die" list because it is magical and wonderful everywhere, and the most amazing experience ever!

Luxe Hair Oil Review

Hello my berries!

When I went to the hairdressers last they used an amazing product on my hair and I just had to ask what it was because it smelled incredible! It was Luxe Oil from Wella 's System Professional (SP) and it left my hair feeling lovely and soft. So, I purchased a bottle of the stuff and I have fallen completely in love with it. The oil for a start as said before smells amazing, the scent smells like sweets and the great thing about it is that the gorgeous scent remains on your hair keeping it smelling delicious all day. You can put the product on both dry and wet hair, personally I like to put it just on the ends of my hair when I have just washed it as I think this leaves the best affect. I just run it through the ends of my hair and leave it to air dry and then its soft, tame and smooth for the rest of the day. My friends at school were all touching my hair and saying that it felt really soft so thanks Luxe Oil! I highly recommend this product if you suffer with dry hair as it does a great job of hydrating your locks and making them silky and manageable. It is very expensive at £24.99 but a little bit goes a long way and you don't have to use it all the time, only when you need a little bit of extra help to keep your hair soft!

Goodbye till next time!

Origins- Blemish Treatment Pads

Hello my berries!

I recently purchased the Origins Blemish Treatment Pads as I have been getting bad breakouts on my face. They are fairly expensive at £23.00 but the lady at the counter assured me that it was a good buy that would work for my skin. Origins are fairly famous for their Blemish Gel, but for some reason these pads appealed to me more. First of all, I only used them for about 3 days morning and night, and it completely cleared my skin. The pads contain salicylic acid which is an acne treatment, but the pads are more on the gentle side. They were really easy to use and I will definitely be keeping them for my next breakout. The only thing I didn't really like about them was the smell, the scent is very herbal and is synthetic which didn't really appeal to me, however I am willing to let that go and ignore it because the product was so good and really cleared up my skin. Anything that will clear up ugly spots quickly will definitely be a winner in my books and I highly recommend it for others. On the other hand, I am not saying this is going to work on your skin, but it might be worth a try if you are looking for something to get rid of blemishes! Also the packaging is really nice as it is a higher-end product.

Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Liner

Hello my berries,

Thought I would do a quick review on the Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Liner. First of all I LOVE IT! I have used it every single day I have owned it and it is great for when your first starting out as it is really easy and smooth to apply. The tip of the pen is like a felt tip, making it easy to achieve a cat eye without hesitation and mistakes. It is dark black and incredibly dramatic which I really like although you can achieve a more natural look my using the very tip and drawing a thin line at your lashline. You can also achieve a much thicker line by putting more pressure on the tip which is also a very beautiful look. The staying power of this eyeliner is incredible, it lasts all day and does not smudge even if you rub and rub at your eyes. I know many bloggers have raved about the Stila eyeliner and I definitly advise you all to jump on the bandwagon as it is an incredible product and a must have for your make up bag. The packaging is also thin, sleek and black meaning you take it with you everywhere!

Shoe Mayhem!

Hello my berries,

I recently made a naughy purchase involing some boots and thought I would show you because I think I am in love and that they would suit many tastes.I purchased a beautiful pair of black boots from River Island. They are just black heeled boots with a Doctor Martin style heel and sole with buckles up the sides. They are great for every occasion and you can dress them up for the evening or down for everyday. In a later blog post I might show how to style them but for now thats it! Lets just admire the pictures of my sexy leather boots aha!

Skincare

Hello my berries!

So we know how horrible teenage skin can be with hormonal breakouts and spots just coming out of nowhere but I have finally found products that work for my skin (which is combination by the way) and thought I would share them with you. They are a mixture of more expensive and drugstore products and I love all of them.

To take of my makeup I use all Simple products as I have fairly sensitive skin, to start I use the kind to skin eye makeup remover, it takes off even waterproof makeup and I really like it, it is fairly oily but it does a really good job at taking of my eye makeup and I highly recommend it. I then use the kind to skin purifying cleansing lotion to get rid of any face makeup, it is very gentle and unscented (like all their products) and takes of all my makeup and I find I don't have to rub at my face which is nice! After this I usually jump in the shower and then use my Clarins Daily Energiser Cleansing Gel. This is the opposite to what I would usually go for as it is scented, but it really makes my skin feel nice and it has definitely cleared up some of my breakouts.
After this I use the toner and moisturiser of the same range, the Daily Energiser Wake Up Booster toner and then the Daily Energiser Cream which all smell AMAZING and make your skin look radiant.
I exfoliate twice a week using the Simple clear skin oil balancing facial scrub which just does the job nicely and makes your skin feel soft and lovely.
Hope that was interesting and helpful, I'm not saying this is going to work for you skin, it takes a lot of trial and error to find the right products, but these have all done wonders for me!

Goodbye till next time!

Nail art!

Barry M- Metallic Gold Nail Paint

No7 Stay Perfect in Violet
I have been obsessed with nails recently and these are my two favourite colours at the moment. I really love metallic and vivid colours. I have been using a nail art pen for the cross and heart details and I don't know why but I always put the nail art on my ring finger. The application of both nail polishes are really good, and last for a solid 3 days without chips. They are also really pretty for this time of year!
